Meeting Monday night

The Gloucester Branch of the NAACP will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at the Woodville Rosenwald School, 4310 George Washington Memorial Highway, Hayes. The meeting will also be able to be viewed on the Zoom platform. Contact gloucesternaacp@gmail.com to obtain the Zoom link, if needed. The featured speakers will be Maria Calloway, Acting County Administrator, and Deputy Administrators Regine Biggers. They will be sharing with the group about what is happening in Gloucester County government, a release stated. Following the meeting, members will have a cake to celebrate the birthday of the late Irene Morgan, known for her landmark win in the U.S. Supreme Court in 1946 outlawing segregation in interstate public transportation.
